Enter the singular world of Faye Wong as vocalist April Wu and her band reimagines the music of one of Chinese pop’s most iconic and unconventional artists through jazz. Moving through dream pop, Mandopop, alternative rock, and the cool melancholy of 1990s Hong Kong, the evening draws from beloved songs including 红豆 (Red Bean), 梦中人 (Dreams), 天空 (Sky), 只爱陌生人 (Only Love Strangers), 棋子 (Chess Piece), 容易受伤的女人 (Fragile Woman), 你快乐所以我快乐, and more. Rather than a conventional tribute show, Only Love Strangers reshapes Faye Wong's iconic music through fresh arrangements, improvisation, and a contemporary jazz sensibility while preserving the intimacy, mystery, and emotional restraint that made her work so distinctive. A night of Chinese pop nostalgia, cinematic atmosphere, and songs suspended  between romance, longing, and dreams. Doors at 9pm. Show at 9:20pm.
