Taboo Jazz: Songs of Lust & Murder

Our love is here to…slay? The Red Pavilion Jazz Band resurrects the forbidden sounds of dirty blues and hot jazz in a special night devoted to murder ballads, deadly desires, sin, vice, sex, scandal, and songs that once threatened polite society. Drawing from the bawdy blues, jazz, and popular music of the early 20th century, the evening explores a musical underworld of jealous lovers, illicit affairs, dangerous women, bad men, drinking, drugs, gambling, violence, and pleasures best kept behind closed doors. Murder and seduction share the same smoky room. Morality loosens its collar. Every song carries the possibility of trouble. Expect wicked humor, dark storytelling, and plenty of heat as the band brings these disreputable classics back to life beneath the red lights of The Red Pavilion. 6:30pm Doors / 7pm Show. Walk-ins welcome. 2 Drink Minimum per person for table service. 21+ ID Required. All Sales Final.
