Yo Soy: an evening of Argentine tango, identity, and the many selves we carry. Who are we when we meet another person? What do we reveal, what do we hold close, and who do we become in the space between us? Set inside The Red Pavilion, Yo Soy is a one-night tango performance exploring the duality of identity, where cultures meet, contradictions coexist, and intimacy becomes a language of its own. Two bandoneon masters, Rodrigo Avalros from Argentina and Sunyang Kim from Korea, bring distinct histories and musical worlds into conversation, joined by the fourteen-member Barrio Tango Orchestra in a rich, ever-evolving sound. On the dance floor, identities blur and roles transform. Through the shifting dynamics of connection, our dancers explore the fluid boundaries of the self and the unexpected ways we meet one another.
