Adai Song

Adai Song is an electropop singer, songwriter, producer and DJ, bringing Chinese musical traditions into contemporary electronic music. Moving between Beijing, New York and Virginia, she explores a new vision of C-pop through electronic production, live vocals, and sounds rooted in Chinese popular and traditional culture. Her latest work, The Bloom Project 《玫瑰时代, reimagines Chinese popular music from the 1920s–40s for a contemporary dance floor. Revisiting classics such as Night Shanghai, Rose Rose I Love You, and Carmen (a Mandarin version!), Adai transforms familiar melodies through house, UK garage, rap, Chinese instrumentation, and newly written lyrics that voice contemporary female perspectives. This album entered the first-round ballot for consideration in Best Global Music Album at the 68th GRAMMY Awards. A Recording Academy Voting Member and NYFA-funded artist, Adai has accumulated over 70 million streams across Chinese music platforms, with music appearing in film, television, festivals, and games including Arknights.
